Mary Ann Harris Baker (1947-2014)
Mary Ann Baker, 67, of Amarillo, formerly of Pampa, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Carter Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Roy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.
Mary Ann was born Jan. 16, 1947, in Pampa to Jovanae Harris and James Harris.
She was a nurse at Northwest Texas Hospital and later retired from Texas Tech University Health and Sciences Center after 25 years of dedicated service.
Mary Ann was a proud member of Carter Chapel C.M.E Church. She was a devoted and loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Randy Harris.
Survivors include her children, Jeremy Baker, Christina Baker, Cherié Baker-Perry and husband Jason, Jerome Baker Sr., Darryl Baker and DoShaun Baker; her grandchildren, Jarrius Baker and Janecia Baker; her sisters, Alice Grays, Millicent Turner and Kathleen Mims; three brothers, R.H. Harris, R.L. Harris Sr., Danny Harris and Bishop James Mims; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
