John Kenneth Lane, Jr. (February 21, 1947-April 14, 2010)

John Kenneth "Dink" Lane AGE: 63 DIED: April 14, 2010, in Pampa, Texas SERVICES: Vigil services will be at 7:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 17, 2010, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Ravi, associate pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Lane was born February 21, 1947, son of Jack and June Lane, in Pampa. A 1965 graduate of Pampa High School, he received his Bachelor's degree in pharmacology from Southwestern University in Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1970. He was a pharmacist in Amarillo and Fort Worth, and in 1981, he returned to Pampa and worked as the pharmacist at Coronado Hospital. John was married to Mary C. Kuehler Stockman on November 24, 1989 in Pampa by Father Gary Sides of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. In 1994, he moved to Salina, Kansas to be the hospital pharmacist. He retired, and returned to Pampa in January of 2010. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, as well as the National Pharmacist Association.

SURVIVORS: wife: Mary C. Lane of the home; 2 stepdaughters: Sarah Stockman of Pampa, and Rachael M. Stockman of Salina, Kansas; 2 stepsons: Joshua P. Stockman and Jacob M. Stockman, both of McAlester, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren: Kaileb Stockman and Malachi Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 aunts and 4 uncles.
