Diana Ruth (Ray) Hughes (April 16, 1947 - December 29, 2012)

Diana Ruth Ray Hughes, age 65, died Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Diana was born April 16, 1947 in Dalhart, Texas to John Thomas and Naomi Smith Ray. She and Wayne Hughes were married August 22, 1964 in Pampa, Texas. She was a dispatcher and bookkeeper for John Ray Trucking Company, Harrison Trucking Company and A.J. Metler Trucking Company. She was a member of the Disabled Veterans Club, TOPS and served as a District Manager and Leader for Girl Scouts USA.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hughes of Iowa Park; daughters, Michele Stokes and husband Greg Stokes of Frisco Texas and Susan Wolfe and husband Sam Wolfe of Iowa Park. She is also survived by grandchildren Mathew Franks, Taylor Keller, Gabrielle Stokes, Lily Stokes and Sam Stokes, and a brother, John Ray of Burkburnett.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.
