Curtis James Eastman JR  (1946-2010)

Curtis James Eastman JR, the first born to the late Curtis James Eastman, and Norma Faye Johnson, was born on January 13, 1946, in Pampa, Texas. He received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church pastorate of the late Reverend E. F Nelson. He was an active member of the Sunday school, choir and Baptist Training Union. 

Upon completion of his formal education, he served in the United States Army, which included two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He retired from the military with 20 years of service after receiving several medals which include a Bronze star medal. 

After a long illness, Curtis Eastman entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 9,2010. Preceding him in death were his parents and his daughter, Rosalind. He is survived by loving wife Elinor. He leaves to cherish his legacy children Amber and Crystal both of Colorado Spring, Co and 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Dominick and Jasmine. 

He also leaves to cherish his loving memory, a sister Walterlene “Sissie” Crayton and a brother Charles Thompson and their families; Nieces Velisa Crayton-Walker (Brian) and Shalitris Crayton;. Great nieces Carissa Turner and Journi Porter. 

Special family members Michael Burley and Jewel and Betty Manzay and their families. In addition to his immediate family Curtis loved his aunts and uncles with whom he spent most of his childhood years. Also cherishing his memory are Uncles Artis and William Dowd of Los Angeles; a host of loving cousins.
