Robert Kevin "Doc" DeWeese (1947-2002)

Robert Kevin "Doc" DeWeese, 54, of Amarillo died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002.

"Doc" was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Pampa, attended and graduated from high school there, and later attended and graduated from Lubbock Christian College.

He was well known in the radio industry for his innovative voices on local commercials as was a No. 1 on-air personality, promotion and music direction. He received multi awards from the Amarillo Advertising Association.

His profile was in Accent West Magazine in a "Pilot of the Airwaves" feature article. At the time of his death he owned a production studio for TV and radio commercials.

Survivors include his wife, Sandera.
