Denise Ball Carrigan (1946-2019)

Denise Ball Carrigan, 72 (December 16, 1946-January 25, 2019) passed away. Beloved wife of Jimmy Carrigan for 52 years. Dear sister of Fred E. (Beth Ann) Ball and Earline (Ron) Mumme; cherished daughter of the late Fred and Johnnie Sybil Ball; dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

Denise worked for Management Recruiters International, starting out doing secretarial duties and working up to half owner of the franchise. Denise’s father was a Pastor and was raised with a love for the Lord. She continued her devotion from her upbringing and remained a loyal Christian and worshiped through song as she was an accomplished soloist in her church. Denise was a wonderful listener with a great memory. She was a selfless woman with an intuition that was matched by none. In her spare time, Denise enjoyed pouring through book after book, and spending time with her black Poodle, Suzy Q. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Denise will have services at home in San Antonio, Texas at a later date. Memorial contributions appreciated to Assembly of God Children’s Homes.

This photo was posted on Denise’s Facebook page. She was a very attractive lady. Denise liked writing stories. She shared some of them with me. In Pampa Junior High School, she and I sang in a sextet with Kathy Rexroat, Donna Seawright, LaDella Mills and one more soprano, but I can’t think of who she was. We sang a calypso song in the PJHS talent show our seventh grade year.
